ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Dr. Mohamed Tolba was born in Cairo at 13 January, 1959.

He has got his B.Sc. in Geology June 1982, with Excellent grade from Al-Azhar University, Faculty of Science, Geology Department. He has been appointed as demonsrtator in the same depatment. In 1987 he got Diploma from the International Institute for Aerospace Survey and Earth Sciences, Enschede, The Netherlands.

In 1988 he got M.Sc. degree in Geology from Al-Azhar University in the application of Remote Sensing in Structural geology.

In 1995 he got Ph.D. degree in Earth Sciences using Remote Sensing Data from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

Dr Tolba is interested mainly in Remote Sensing and GIS and their applications in Environmental Geological aspects.

He has published more than 25 articles mainly focusing on Remote Sensing, GIS and Environmental Geology.

Dr Tolba is a consultant in Remote Sensing and GIS in many national and International projects dealing with different aspects such as Biodiversity, Solid Waste Management, Sustainable development and Eco-tourism, Flash Flooding, and ground water exploration in remote areas.
